What You'll Do:

  • Act as a resource for accounting assistants by providing training, answering questions, and reviewing work.
  • Validates data against system reports.
  • Verifies that controls and processes have been followed.
  • Performs data entry into accounting systems.
  • Performs transactional accounting entries.
  • Performs account reconciliations.
  • Works with internal and external customers to resolve questions/problems.
  • Performs higher level projects as assigned.
  • Participates in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes to ensure all relevant data has been captured in appropriate period.
  • Works with operations to complete processes.


What We're Looking For:
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
  • A high school diploma and three (3) or more years of accounting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in accounting tasks
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, computer reports and accounts receivable or accounts payable reports.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook software applications.
  • Leadership, mentoring, and training skills.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities
  • Gas Plant accounting experience preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • English language fluency, verbal and written.
  • Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
