<p>An exciting opportunity exists at Metals Vanderbijlpark for six Apprentices within the Engineering Department. The apprenticeship opportunities are available across the following functions:</p><p>• 2x Mechanical Fitter</p><p>• 2x Electrical</p><p>• 2x Fitter & Turner</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><p>▪ Completion of all required theoretical modules for the trade.</p><p>▪ Undergoing intensive on-the-job training and other related training.</p><p>▪ Providing support to the production process with adequate levels of availability and reliability.</p><p>▪ Demonstrating the ability to practically conduct maintenance and installations.</p><p>▪ Acquiring problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</p><p>▪ Adhering to plant rules, regulations and safety requirements.</p><p>▪ Working effectively within a team-based environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The ideal candidate should possess the following: </strong></p><p>▪ Matric with Maths, Physical Science and English as a second language, with a minimum 50% pass mark.</p><p>▪ Must provide certificate and results (transcript) for NTC3 (or Higher).</p><p>▪ Minimum NTC3 engineering, with relevant trade theory as a subject.</p><p>▪ A good engineering understanding at a basic level</p><p>▪ Team orientation, be systematic and well organized.</p><p>▪ Basic computer literacy.</p><p>▪ Good interpersonal & communication skills, positive attitude, able to use own initiative, team oriented, systematic, and well organized.</p><p>▪ Ability to work overtime and shifts when required.</p><p><br></p><p>If you are interested in this position, mail the below to – Recruitment.VDBP@nampak.com</p><p>1.
