My client, a prestigious hospitality establishment in the Stellenbosch/Somerset West area, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef and a Chef de Partie to join their professional kitchen team. These roles will support the Executive Chef in maintaining high culinary standards and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Roles:
To support the Executive Chef and wider kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of high-quality cuisine, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and kitchen organisation. The roles will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen while maintaining a professional and collaborative approach at all times.

Key Requirements:
  • Relevant culinary qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a quality-driven kitchen environment
  • Passion for food and commitment to culinary excellence
  • Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure as part of a team
  • Professional presentation and a positive, hands-on approach
  • Proficient in both English and Afrikaans
  • Must reside in or within close proximity to Somerset West
