Virtual Stylist

Some people know exactly what they want to wear. Most don't — they just know how they want to feel when they walk into a room. That's where a virtual stylist comes in, turning a client's half-formed idea into an outfit, a wardrobe, or a whole new sense of confidence, all through a screen. What this role is about As a Remote Virtual Stylist and Online Fashion Consultant, you'll get to know clients — their lifestyle, their comfort zones, what makes them feel like themselves — and translate that into style guidance that actually fits their life, not just a trend cycle. One morning you might be helping a client in Tokyo pick an interview outfit; that afternoon, you're building a capsule wardrobe for someone in New York getting ready to travel. The work moves, but the goal stays the same: clothes that feel like the person wearing them. What you'll be doing Styling and consultation Running one-on-one virtual styling sessions tailored to each client's needs and occasions. Building outfit recommendations for events ranging from job interviews to weekend brunches. Tracking seasonal trends, color palettes, and new brand releases to inform client suggestions. Creating mood boards, capsule wardrobes, and wardrobe planning guides. Advising on styling for special events, photo shoots, or brand collaborations. Client relationships Maintaining current, detailed style profiles for each client. Checking in regularly with fresh ideas and updated recommendations. Communicating with warmth, patience, and respect across every client interaction. Tools and coordination Using virtual closet apps, lookbook software, and styling platforms to plan wardrobes. Recording video walkthroughs or written style guides for clients to reference. Managing scheduling, notes, and communication through CRM tools. Collaborating with teammates to refine style recommendations and share feedback. What you'll need to bring Minimum qualification: High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training in fashion, design, or a related discipline is a plus, but relevant experience carries equal weight here. Experience: a minimum of 1 year in personal styling, retail fashion, or virtual styling work. Alongside that, we're looking for someone who brings: A genuine interest in helping people feel good in what they wear, not just following trends for their own sake. Comfort styling clients across a wide range of body types, budgets, and backgrounds. Strong organizational habits — juggling several client profiles without losing track of details. Openness to feedback and a willingness to keep learning as trends and tools shift. Natural warmth in conversation, especially with clients who feel unsure about their style. Skills that matter most Solid knowledge of current fashion trends, brands, and inclusive styling practices. Experience building outfit recommendations across different occasions and price points. Comfort using digital styling tools, mood board software, and video consultation platforms. Clear written and verbal communication for remote client sessions. Nice to have Experience with makeup, accessories, or photo styling. Multilingual skills for working with a global client base. Background in gender-neutral or body-positive styling approaches. Familiarity with sustainable or ethically sourced fashion brands. What working here looks like You'll be styling clients from Sydney to San Francisco, all from wherever you do your best work — the sofa, a favorite café corner, or a proper home office setup. The team leans on each other: sharing outfit ideas, celebrating a tricky styling request that landed just right, and staying connected through regular video meetups. Roles like this often turn up on platforms such as Naukri Mitra, where stylists looking for genuinely flexible, creative work tend to search first. Pay and benefits This role pays $95,000 annually. On top of that, you'll get: Full remote flexibility, with no fixed office or commute. A monthly style budget to support hands-on wardrobe and trend research. Ongoing training in fashion tech, styling tools, and emerging trends. Wellness support built into the team's approach to remote work. Opportunities to work directly with sustainable and ethically sourced fashion brands. How the team works together This is a group of people who genuinely like fashion and genuinely like helping people — which shows up in how the team operates day to day. Regular virtual meetups, style challenges, and open feedback sessions keep things collaborative rather than competitive. Leadership includes voices from underrepresented communities, and that shapes how the team approaches client work: with empathy, honesty, and a real commitment to making every client feel seen, regardless of size, gender, or background. Why stylists enjoy this role The best part of this job rarely shows up on a task list. It's the client who finally feels confident walking into a big interview. The parent rediscovering a sense of personal style after years of putting it last. The non-binary client who finds workwear that actually feels like them. Those moments are the real measure of the work — the outfit is just the vehicle. Apply for this role If styling feels less like a job and more like a way of connecting with people, this role was built with you in mind. Send through your application along with a note on a styling moment you're proud of, and the team will follow up with next steps. Global applicants welcome: candidates from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia, India, and other eligible regions worldwide are encouraged to apply.
