Associate VP, Clinical Product – Strategy

Job Description:

  • Set the strategic direction for clinical programs and products serving Medicare Advantage and Traditional Medicare populations
  • Translate enterprise priorities into scalable home-based care models
  • Lead a team of approximately 20 associates
  • Partner across Home, Pharmacy, Primary Care, and Humana to identify opportunities
  • Build business cases, launch pilots, and scale programs
  • Develop the roadmap for clinical programs improving HH and MA Stars performance, affordability, risk adjustment, and member outcomes
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of strategic clinical programs, including performance management, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination
  • Lead gap closure and quality improvement efforts
  • Expand appropriate Home Health utilization and demonstrate network savings, member impact, and operational requirements
  • Scale interventions reducing hospitalizations, readmissions, emergency department utilization, and other avoidable costs
  • Build programs improving outreach, participation, adherence, and longitudinal care management
  • Develop services and home-based care models for high-risk members outside traditional Home Health episodes
  • Strengthen clinical integration across CWHH, PCO, Rx, and Humana through shared workflows, data, care pathways, and operating routines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred, not required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
  • Minimum of 7 years leading managers and professional teams
  • Strong clinical, Medicare Advantage, and value-based care acumen
  • Experience building, piloting, and scaling clinical programs with measurable quality, financial, and operational outcomes
  • Ability to lead through influence across matrixed teams, including clinical, operations, finance, analytics, population health, and payer partners
  • Strong command of Stars, utilization, medical cost, risk adjustment, documentation, member engagement, and care management dynamics
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic leadership
  • Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect PHI/HIPAA information
  • Home internet with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings
