Shop Pipe Fitter / Pipe Welder Helper – Casper, WY

Location: Casper, WY 

Schedule: Monday - Sunday,  10-12 hours/day

We're looking for a dependable, motivated Shop Pipe Fitter/Pipe Welder Helper to support a fabrication team producing process piping, pipe and cable tray supports, transformer vaults, and other structural and mechanical components. You'll also assist with pipe bolt-up, hydro-testing, and cable tray assembly.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with bolt-up, hydro-testing of piping, and assembly of cable trays
  • Load, unload, stage, and organize pipe, structural steel, fittings, and hardware
  • Measure, mark, cut, grind, drill, and prep materials under supervision
  • Assist with pipe and structural steel fit-up, including aligning, positioning, and securing components
  • Install bolts, nuts, and washers, following torque requirements and assembly instructions
  • Use hand tools, impact guns, and wrenches as trained
  • Locate and stage materials according to drawings and work orders
  • Keep tools, workstations, and shop areas clean and organized
  • Follow all company, OSHA, and project safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Perform other shop duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods in a shop environment
  • Prior shop, construction, or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required
